spring 2015 | CURRUMBIN VALLEY
" cameras have been very kind ... "
they've been an inseparable part of my life ever since I got my first Kodak Starflash for Xmas as a kid
they've been excuse for adventure & encounter in my own country
taken me to all corners of the planet on assignment for BBC Natural History, National Geographic & Discovery
put me face-to-face with polar bear, cobra, orangutan & rhino, and some pretty special human species too
they've brought to life childhood dreams once found only in Time-Life & Golden Books
mostly though photography has taught me to 'see'
it exposed the reality that natural exotica is not limited to far-off lands, but mere footsteps from my own front door
opened my eyes to discover and appreciate the natural wonder of my own world | been messenger & teacher to nurture a sense of place & being, content & connection
Currumbin Valley is my place of dreaming
the heart of my universe | and the visual inspiration that drives my mission to use visual craft to help all 'see for themselves'
to celebrate the natural bounty we've inherited | and to ensure it continues to inspire and give for all time to come
