LAMINGTON | ANTARCTIC BEECH
ANTARCTIC BEECH 'WEDDING ARCH' [04:58]
BORDER TRACK, LAMINGTON NP, GOLD COAST QLD
[ camera ] Panasonic Varicam HDC-27
An eighteen-kilometre return trek along Lamington's rain-soaked Border Track to famous stands of Antarctic Beech trees. Lugging twenty-kilos of brand new HD camera gear through the wet, the mud & hordes of lovesick leeches wasn't fun or pretty, but ethereal presence amongst time-forgotten relics well-rewarded hardship. Shrouding mist, whistling breeze & ancient whispers cast imagination back into a prehistoric world of Gondwanan grandeur.
